The Narrated step-by-step video tutorial:
Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.
Step 1: Draw a circle near the middle of the paper as a guide for Jigglypuff's head/body. First make four marks to determine the circle's height and width. Then connect the marks using curved lines to complete the circle. For every step, sketch lightly at first so that it's easy to erase if you make a mistake. If you're struggling to draw the circle, just trace the outer rim of a circular object like a bowl or a lid.
Step 2: Draw a curved vertical line across the circle as a guide to help you place this Pokemon's facial features later. Closer to the bottom, draw a curved horizontal construction line for another guide line.
That's it for the guides! For the next steps, use darker lines for a more defined drawing of Jigglypuff from Pokemon.
Step 3: Sitting directly on top of the horizontal construction line, draw two circles for Jigglypuff's eyes. The circles should be separated by the vertical construction line. Pay attention to how big these circles are in relation to the rest of the head/body. The eye on the left should be a bit narrower because of the perspective.
Step 4: Inside each eye, draw a smaller circle for Jigglypuff's irises. The irises should be very close to the edges of the eyes. Inside each iris, draw a tiny circle to represent glare/highlight.
Step 5: Where the construction guides intersect, draw a curved shape for this Pokemon's mouth. The shape should be similar to a small letter U with a line at the top. Inside the mouth, draw a short, curved line for the tongue.
Step 6: Starting at the top of the head, draw a long, curved line for Jigglypuff's curl. This line should curve up above the head and then curve down inside the head and almost touch the eyes before curving back up and coiling at the end. Near the end of the line, draw a shorter line for the base of the curl.
Step 7: On the top, right side, draw a big, angled line that's similar to a triangle for Jigglypuff's first ear. Pay attention to how big this shape is in relation to the head/body. Inside this shape, draw a smaller triangle for the inner ear.
Step 8: On the left side, draw another big, angled line for Jigglypuff's other ear. Don't overlap the shape of the curl. Inside the shape, add a smaller triangular line for the inner ear.
Step 9: On either side of the head/body, draw two small, angled lines for Jigglypuff's arms. The shapes should be similar to the letter V on its side. The shape on the left should point up and the shape on the right should point down.
Step 10: On the bottom, right side, draw a small, curved, U-shaped line for this Pokemon's first foot. Draw a curved line at the top to close-off the shape. On the left side, draw a long, curved line for the other foot.
Step 11: Darken the shape of the initial circle to create Jigglypuff's head/body. Don't overlap the curl or the arm and leg on the right side as you darken the shape.
Step 12: Go over the final sketch lines with a pen, marker or any other type of permanent ink. Take your time and be careful when you ink to avoid any accidents. After the ink dries, get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser for a cleaner Jigglypuff drawing.
Final Step: Color your Jigglypuff drawing using colored pencils, markers or crayons! Use pink for the body. Color the inside of the ears and mouth dark brown. For the irises, use dark blue-green at the top and slowly transition to light blue-green at the bottom. For an easier drawing, just use regular blue-green for the entire irises. Use dark pink for the tongue and a bit for shadows on the body.
