The written step-by-step video tutorial:
Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.
Step 1: Draw a big oval near the top of the paper as a guide for Porky Pig's head. First make four marks to determine the oval's height and width. Then connect the marks using curved lines. Make sure that the marks for the sides of the oval are farther apart than the marks for the top and bottom. Sketch lightly at first so that it's easy to erase if you make a mistake. Leave enough room at the bottom for this Looney Tunes character's body.
Step 2: Below the head, draw a curved line for the chubby cheeks. Make a small mark below Porky Pig's head and then connect the mark to the head using curved lines.
Step 3: Draw a horizontal line across the bottom of the oval as a construction guide to help you place Porky Pig's facial features later. Draw a curved, vertical line on the top, right side for another construction guide.
Step 4: Draw a circle below the head as a guide for the bottom half of the body. Draw this circle using the four-marks method too. This circle should be smaller than the head. Don't place this circle too far away from the head, otherwise Porky Pig's body will be too long. Draw two short lines that connect this circle to the head as guides for the top part of the body.
Step 5: Draw a diagonal line on the top, left side of the body as a guide for the first arm. At the end of the line, draw a small oval as a guide for Porky Pig's first hand. On the right side of the cheek, draw a small line that slopes upward as a guide for the other arm. At the end of the guide, draw a small circle as a guide for the other hand.
