How to Draw Eevee from Pokemon

Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.
Step 1: Draw a big circle as a guide for Eevee's head. First draw four small marks to indicate the height and width of the circle, then connect the marks using curved lines. Sketch lightly at first so that it's easy to erase if you make a mistake. But the circle doesn't have to be perfect. It's just a guide. If you do want a perfect circle, trace the outer rim of a glass, a lid or any other object with a circular edge.
Step 2: Draw a curved vertical line across the head. This is a construction line that will help you place Eevee's facial features later. Add a curved horizontal line near the bottom edge of the circle for another construction line.
Step 3: Draw a long, diagonal line on the top left side of the head as a guide for Eevee's first ear. Draw another line on the right as a guide for the other ear. Pay attention to the length of these lines in relation to the head.
Step 4: Draw a curved line under the head as a guide for the front part of this Pokemon's body. The shape should be similar to a half-circle. The half-circle should be smaller than Eevee's head.
Step 5: Draw a C-shaped line on the left side as a guide for the back portion of Eevee's body.
Step 6: Draw two short vertical lines under the right side of the body as guides for the front legs. Bend the tips of the lines for Eevee's feet.
Step 7: Draw another line under the body on the left side as a guide for this Pokemon's hind leg. Only three legs will be visible from this angle. Add a long curved line on the top left side of the body as a guide for Eevee's tail.
That's it for the initial sketch! From this point on, press harder with your pencil to get a more defined drawing.
Step 8: Draw a big oval that sits on top of the horizontal construction line and to the left of the vertical line for Eevee's first eye. Sketch lightly at first to the get the size and placement of the eye right, then darken the line. Draw another oval on the right of the vertical construction line for the other eye. This oval should be a tiny bit smaller than the first one. Pay attention to the amount of space between them.
Step 9: Inside the eye on the left, near the bottom, draw two short lines on the sides for the first part of the pupil/iris. Now connect the two lines with a short U-shaped line in the middle to finish the pupil/iris. Draw the same thing inside Eevee's eye on the right. Two short lines on the sides connected by a U-shaped line in the middle.
Step 10: Inside each eye, at the top, draw a small circle to represent glare. Outside of each eye, at the top, draw a small line to emphasize Eevee's brow a bit.
Step 11: Draw a small triangle for Eevee's nose right where the two construction lines intersect.
Step 12: Draw a horizontal line under the nose for Eevee's mouth. The ends of the line should curve up a bit. The line should be similar to a wide letter W.
Step 13: Use the lines on top of the head as guides to draw Eevee's ears. Draw a curved line on either side of the guide to create the exterior shape of the ear. The shape of this Pokemon's ear should be pointy at the top, wide in the middle and narrow at the base. Now use the other guide to draw the ear on the right side the same way. Add two curved lines on either side of the guide to create the shape of the ear. Sketch lightly at first. Darken the lines when you get the shape right. Make sure the middle section is wide.
Step 14: Now draw the inside of the ears by first drawing a small M-like shape at the base for the fur. Inside the ear, draw a couple of lines for the inner ear structure. This shape should be similar to the exterior shape of the ear, only smaller. Draw the inner ear structure inside Eevee's other ear the same way. Don't forget the M-shaped fur at the base.
Step 15: Use the initial circle as a guide to draw the shape of Eevee's head. First draw a series of triangle-like spikes at the top. These triangle-like spikes represent tufts of fur, so make them different sizes. Now darken the basic edge of the initial circle to create the shape of the head. Don't overlap the ear on the left. The left edge of the head should be flatter. When you draw the right edge of the head, be sure to dip the line in toward the eye more so that the head is thinner. The lower, right side of Eevee's head should bulge out a bit more to create the cheek.
Step 16: Draw Eevee's extra-long patch of fur around the neck by using a series of curved lines under the head. The fur is made up of long, curved vertical lines that cover the front part of the body. The fur should extend below the body and overlap the guide for the front leg a bit. The curved lines should come together at the bottom to give the fur pointy tips.
Step 17: Draw the second part of the fur around Eevee's neck as more curved lines on the left side. The left edge should extend into the back portion of this Pokemon's body, and the bottom tips should overlap the front leg a bit. On the top left side of the fur, add a few more short, curved lines for the small patch of fur found there.
Step 18: Use the middle line under the body as a guide to draw Eevee's first front leg. Follow the basic path of the guide as you draw the thick shape of the leg around it. On the tip of the foot, draw a couple of short, curved lines to separate the individual toes.
Step 19: Use the line on the right as a guide to draw the other front leg by using the same technique. Make the shape of the leg thicker as you follow the path of the guide. The top part of the leg will be blocked by Eevee's neck fur.
Step 20: Use the leftmost line under Eevee's body as a guide to draw the hind leg. Draw the thick shape of the leg as you follow the basic path of the guide. Don't forget the toes at the bottom. The other hind leg is hidden by the other legs at this angle, so don't worry about drawing it.
Step 21: Use the line on the top left side of the body as guide to draw Eevee's tail. Just like with the ears, draw a curved line on either side of the guide to create the thick shape of the tail. The tip of the tail should end at a point, the middle section should be wide, and the base at the bottom should be a bit narrower.
Step 22: Darken the exterior edges of the guides to create the shape of the body. Add a series of short lines near the tip of Eevee's tail to indicate the fur's color separation.
Step 23: For a more finished look, carefully go over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker.
Step 24: After inking, get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser for a cleaner drawing.
Final Step: Color your Eevee drawing using color pencils, markers or even crayons! Use tan for the main part of the body. If you don't have tan, use light brown. Don't color the inside of the ears, tip of the tail or neck fur yet. Use brown and dark brown for the inside of the ears and pupils. Color the nose and top part of the eyes dark brown or black. Use light brown for the bottom part of this Pokemon's eyes and sand for the neck fur and tip of tail. If you don't have sand, use yellow.
