The written step-by-step video tutorial:

Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

Step 1: Draw a circle near the top of the paper as a guide for Daffy Duck's head. First make four marks to determine the circle's height and width. Then connect the marks using curved lines. With every step, sketch lightly at first so that it's easy to erase if you make a mistake. If you're struggling to draw the circle, just trace the outer rim of a circular object like a cup or a lid.

Step 2: Inside the circle, draw a long, horizontal line that curves up on the right as a guide to help you place Daffy Duck's facial features later. On the top, right side, draw a short, curved, vertical line for another construction line.

Step 3: Inside the head draw two thin, long ovals as guides for Daffy Duck's eyes. Place the first oval on top of the horizontal line and to the left of the vertical line. The other oval should be to the right of the vertical line. Make this oval a bit smaller.

Step 4: Below the head, draw two short vertical lines as guides for the neck. Below the neck, draw a short, horizontal line for the top of the guide for Daffy Duck's body. Draw two long, vertical lines that curve to the left for the sides of the guide for the body. Close off the shape at the bottom so that the guide for the body looks like a long, curved rectangle.

Step 5: Starting from the top, left corner of the body, draw a line that angles down as a guide for Daffy Duck's first arm. At the end of the line at the bottom, draw a small circle as a guide for the first hand.

Step 6: On the right side, draw another angled line as a guide for the other arm. At the bottom, draw a half circle as a guide for the other hand. Don't overlap the shape of Daffy Duck's body.

Step 7: On the bottom, left side of the body, draw a vertical line that slopes to the right as a guide for the first leg. At the bottom, draw a big, triangular shape with curved corners as a guide for Daffy Duck's first foot.

That's it for the guides! For the next steps, use darker lines for a more defined drawing.

Step 9: Use the ovals inside the head as guides to draw Daffy Duck's eyes. Draw a short, horizontal line near the bottom of each eye for the nearly closed eyelids. Darken the top part of the ovals but make the right side a bit thinner. Make the top part of the eyes and the tip of the eyelids pointy to give Daffy a smug look. Darken the bottom parts of the eyes. Notice how small the open parts of the eyes are. The eyes are almost closed.

Step 10: Inside each eye, near the top, left side, draw a small half-circle for the pupils. Shade in the pupils. Don't overlap the eyelids as you shade. Draw a short, curved line over each of Daffy Duck's eyes for the thick brows.

Step 11: Along the top edge of the initial circle, draw three spike-like shapes for some feathers on Daffy Duck's head. Draw a line from the feathers to the brow on the right. The middle tuft should be longer than the side tufts. Draw a line from the tuft to the horizontal guide for the thin shape of Daffy's head.

Step 12: Draw a short, curved line from the middle of the eyes to the outside of the initial circle for the first part of Daffy Duck's beak. Pay attention to the length of this line. Sketch lightly at first and only darken the line when you get the shape right. At the end of the line, draw a curved line that's similar to an upside-down letter U for the tip of the beak.

Step 13: Lightly sketch a line from the inside of the tip of Daffy Duck's beak almost to the horizontal guide in the head. This line should dip low in the middle. When you get the shape right, darken the line. On the left tip of the line, draw a shorter, curved line for the smile line.

Step 14: Draw a line from the eye on the left down to the edge of the initial circle for the side of the beak. Draw a flat line on the bottom. This shape should sort of create a cheek. It should be wide and flat on the bottom. Draw a curved line between Daffy Duck's eyes. Add a curved line to the right of the eye on the right for the other "cheek." Draw a small line for Daffy Duck's smile inside the "cheek." Add a dot below the middle of the eyes for the nostril.

Step 15: Darken the angled line on the left for Daffy Duck's first arm. Lightly sketch another angled line on the bottom to make the shape of the arm thicker. Draw a curved line at the top for the shoulder and some spike-like shapes in the middle for the feathers on the elbow. The arm should be narrow at the wrist. When you get the shape right, darken the lines.

Step 16: Inside the small circle, draw a couple of short, curved lines for the hand. Along the left edge of the circle, draw a thin, long, curved shape for Daffy Duck's first finger. Add two more curved lines to the left for more fingers. Close off the shape to finish Daffy's hand.

Step 17: Use the angled line on the right as a guide to draw Daffy Duck's other arm the same way. Darken the line and draw a few spike-like shapes at the top and in the middle for feathers. Add a couple of short lines for the inside of the arm. Make the wrist thin and don't overlap the body.

Step 18: Inside the half-circle, draw a small, V-shaped line for Daffy Duck's hand and first finger. The thin shape on the right is the first finger. Draw a couple more lines to the left for more fingers.

Step 19: Draw a few short, curved lines on the top part of the vertical line on the left for the feathery base of Daffy's first leg. Darken the guide and draw a second line on the right to make the shape of the leg thick. Make the leg thicker at the bottom. Draw the foot along the path of the triangular shape at the bottom. Draw a wavy line along the left edge of the guide for the webbed toes. Darken the bottom edge of the guide to finish the shape of Daffy Duck's first foot.

How to Draw Daffy Duck Full Body Looney Tunes 20

Step 20: Draw a few short, curved lines at the top of the line on the right for the feathery base of the other leg. Darken the initial line for the first part of this leg. Draw a second line to the right to make the shape of the leg thick. Make the bottom of the leg wide. Draw Daffy Duck's foot along the path of the triangular guide. Make the right side wavy for the webbed toes.

Step 21: Darken the initial lines under Daffy Duck's head to create his neck. Draw a couple of short, curved, horizontal lines within the shape for the design on the neck. Darken the right side of the rectangular guide but make the line wavier for the first part of the body. Inside, near the top, draw a short, curved, vertical line for the chest. Darken the left edge of the rectangular guide. Add a few short, curved, spike-like shapes on the lower, left side of the body for the visible part of Daffy's tail.

Step 22: Go over the final sketch lines with a pen, marker or any other type of permanent ink. Take your time and be careful when you ink to avoid any accidents. After the ink dries, get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser for a cleaner drawing.

Final Step: Color your Daffy Duck drawing using colored pencils, markers or crayons! Use black for the entire body, except for the beak, the feet and the neck design. Leave a thin area along the lines inside the body blank to emphasize the line work against the black color. Use yellow-orange for the beak and feet. Don't forget to pause the video to draw at your own pace.
