To draw Raven step by step, follow along with the video tutorial below and pause the video after each step to go at your own pace. You may find it easier to follow the step-by-step drawings below. The written step-by-step video tutorial:

Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

Step 1: To begin drawing this Teen Titans Go character, make a big circle near the top of the paper as a guide for Raven's head. First make four marks to determine the circle's height and width. Then connect the marks using curved lines. Sketch lightly at first so that it's easy to erase if you make a mistake. If you're struggling to draw the circle, just trace the outer rim of a circular object like a coin or a lid.

Step 2: Inside the head, draw two intersecting lines as a guide to help you place Raven's facial features later. Curve the lines so that they contour to the shape of the circle. Place the vertical line a little bit closer to the left edge.

Step 3: Under the head, draw two long, vertical lines as guides for Raven's cloak. The shape of this guide should be narrow at the top and wide at the bottom. Pay attention to the length of this guide in relation to the head. Close off the shape at the bottom.

That's it for the guides! For the next steps, use darker lines for a more defined drawing.

Step 4: Inside the head, below the horizontal guide, draw two small half-ovals for Raven's eyes. The first eye should fit between the vertical line and the left edge of the circle. The shapes of the eyes are made up of a horizontal line at the top and a wide, curved line at the bottom. Place the eye on the right close to the vertical line. The eye on the right should be a bit bigger than the eye on the left.

Step 5: Between this Teen Titan Go character's eyes, draw a small V-shaped line for the first part of the cowl's shadow on the face. Below the V-shaped line, draw two longer lines that slope outward for the rest of the shadow. Close off the shape at the bottom by drawing a curved line that follows the edge of the circle. Place this shape very close to Raven's eyes. Sketch lightly at first so that you get the shape right.

Step 6: Inside each eye, draw a small half-circle for the irises. Place each iris close to the right edge of each eye. Inside each iris, off to the side, draw a tiny circle for highlights. In the middle, draw a bigger circle for the pupils. Shade in the pupils but don't overlap the tiny highlight circles. Below the V-shaped shadow, draw a curved line for Raven's mouth. Curve the line the opposite way for a scowl.

Step 7: Above the eye, starting on the vertical guide, draw a big, V-shaped line for the inner tip of the cowl. Draw a long, curved line on either side of the V-shaped line for the sides of the cowl's opening. The top part of the cowl's opening should look like a giant letter M around the face. Close off the bottom using a long, curved, horizontal line along the edge of the initial circle. The lower, left corner of Raven's cowl should stick outside of the initial circle.

Step 8: Use the inner shape of Raven's cowl as a guide to draw the outer edge of the cowl. Draw a line along the path of the inner shape for the outer edge of the cowl. Draw a long, curved, horizontal line for the lower edge of the cowl. Add some pointy corners on the sides and then curve the lines up along the edge of the initial circle. Draw the top edge a little higher and flatter than the initial circle. Curve the line on the right so that it overlaps the side and forms a pointy tip.

Step 9: Darken the shape under this Teen Titan Go character's head to create the cowl's cape draped over the body. Curve the line on the lower, right so that it creates a longer, pointy tip.

Step 10: Under Raven's head, draw a pentagonal shape with smaller square inside for the cape's clasp. Under the clasp, draw a long, sloping line for the cape's opening and a couple of shorter lines on the sides for folds on the fabric.

Step 11: Go over the final sketch lines with a pen, marker or any other type of permanent ink. Take your time and be careful when you ink to avoid any accidents. After the ink dries, get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser for a cleaner drawing of Raven from Teen Titans Go.

Final Step: Color your drawing of Raven from Teen Titans Go using colored pencils, markers or crayons! Use purple for the cowl and cape. Color lightly at first and gradually build up to the level of darkness that you like. Use purple on the eyes too and black for the shadow on the face. Use gray for Raven's face and red and yellow for the clasp. Don't forget to pause the video to draw at your own pace.
