To draw this cartoon Halloween Kitty step by step, follow along with the video tutorial below and pause the video after each step to draw at your own pace. You may find it easier to follow the step-by-step drawings below the video. The new lines in each step are shown in red, so you'll know exactly what to draw next. You may want to open the video in a new tab and use both drawing methods. Take your time and draw at your own pace.

Written step-by-step video tutorial:

For the first few steps, don't press down too hard with your pencil. Use light, smooth strokes to begin.

Step 1: Draw two small circles for the Halloween cat's eyes. The eye on the left should be higher because the head will be tilted. Inside each eye, draw a couple of circles to represent glare. Shade the eyes except for the tiny glare circles.

Step 2: Between the eyes, near the bottom, draw a tiny triangle for the witch cat's nose.

Step 3: Under the nose, draw a line similar in shape to the letter W for the cat's mouth.

Step 4: On either side of the face, draw a curved line for the cheeks. Add a few jagged points along the path of the curved lines to represent the Halloween cat's fur. The cheek on the right should be lower than the one on the left to make the head tilt.

Step 5: Draw a line on the right for the side of the head. At the top, draw a line similar to an upside-down letter V for the cat's ear. Add a few lines within the shape of the ear for the fur.

Step 6: Draw a curved line from the ear to the cheek on the left for the brim of the cat's witch hat. Continue to draw the line to the left and then curve it back in toward the cheek for the underside of the hat.

Step 7: At the top, draw a diagonal line for the base of the crown of the cat's hat. On the right side, draw a curved line for the underside of the witch hat.

Step 8: Above the base, draw a rectangle for the hat's band. In the middle, draw two lines. Within the lines, draw a small rectangle for the buckle.

Step 9: At the top, draw two vertical lines that curve toward the left for the top part of the Halloween cat's hat. Then draw two lines that slope to the left for the bent part of the witch hat. On the left, draw a pointy, V-shaped line for the drooping tip of the hat.

Step 10: Under the head, on the sides, draw two short lines for the Halloween cat's body. In the middle, draw a series of pointy, jagged lines for the furry chest.

Step 11: Directly below each body line, draw a small circle for the feet. The bottom of the feet are facing front. Don't make these circles too big. Inside each foot, draw a series of smaller circles for the padding.

Step 12: Under the chest, draw two curved lines similar to the letter U for the front legs. At the tip of each leg, draw a couple of short lines to separate the witch cat's toes.

Step 13: On the right side, draw a thin, long, curved shape for the Halloween cat's tail. At the bottom, between the legs, draw a series of short lines for the bottom of the body.

Step 14: Using a pen or marker, carefully go over the lines to make your witch cat cartoon drawing permanent. After inking, get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser.

Final Step: Color your Halloween cat drawing using color pencils, markers or crayons! Use purple for the hat. Use dark blue for the underside of the hat. Color the band black and the buckle yellow. Use pink for the ear, nose and padding on the feet. You can stop here for a white cat. Color the body orange except for the lower part of the head, the chest and the paws. Use yellow for the rest of the body. You can also color your Halloween cat black! Don't forget to pause the video to draw at your own pace.
