Intro: Start drawing Princess Daisy with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don't press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.
Step 1: To draw Princess Daisy start with an oval in the middle of the page. This is the basic shape for Princess Daisy's head. Draw two curved lines at the bottom of that shape. These will be the basic shapes for Princess Daisy's neck and shoulders.
Step 2: Next, draw two intersecting lines across the oval, one vertical and one horizontal. Bend the lines so they follow the contour of the shape. Draw two smaller lines in between the horizontal construction line and the bottom of the oval. These will be construction lines that will help you place Princess Daisy's facial features later on.
Step 3: On top of the horizontal construction line on either side of the vertical line, draw two circles with flat bottoms for her eyes. Princess Daisy has big eyes, so draw big shapes. Draw the circle on the left a bit smaller because of perspective.
Step 4: Now draw a guide for Princess Daisy's hair. Start at the top of the oval where the vertical construction line begins and draw two curved lines that end at her shoulders. Draw the lines curling up slightly before they hit Princess Daisy's shoulders.
Step 5: Roughly draw in the shape of Princess Daisy's crown, which sits on top of her hair. An easy way to do it is to draw two vertical lines for the sides of the crown, then draw a wide W shape for the top of the crown.
Step 6: That's it for the initial sketch of Princess Daisy from Nintendo's Mario Brothers video games! You have the basic shape for Princess Daisy, so now go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.
Step 7: Darken in the shape of Princess Daisy's eyes by thickening the lines more. Draw a couple of curved lines on the side of each eye to represent her eyelashes.
Step 8: Finish Princess Daisy's eyes by drawing a series of three ovals, one inside the other, which will represent her iris, pupil and glare. Shade in the center oval or pupil that you've drawn.
Step 9: Using the top small horizontal line as a guide, draw in Princess Daisy's nose, which looks like a fishing hook or a reverse letter J. Shade the bottom portion a bit for shadow.
Step 10: Using the lower small horizontal line as a guide, darken in a curved line to represent Princess Daisy's mouth. Draw a curved line above for her upper lip and draw a curved line below for her lower lip.
Step 11: Her hair is tricky, so this section about how to draw Princess Daisy's hair is divided into three parts. First draw two lines that look like letter V's above her eyes at the vertical construction line. Then draw a smaller line on the left side and a longer curved line on the right.
Step 12: Now darken in the top part of Princess Daisy's hair using the guide drawn earlier. Follow this guide, but draw in a series of curved spikes along the sides of her hair. The right side should connect to the bottom and the left to the side of Princess Daisy's head.
Step 13: Use the initial lines as guides to finish drawing Princess Daisy's hair. When drawing it, curve it slightly outward at the top right to indicate the back of her head.
Step 14: Darken in Princess Daisy's face using the oval as a drawing guide. Dip the line inward where her eye is to create her cheek and draw a slight point for her chin.
Step 15: On either side of Princess Daisy head, draw curved lines for her ears. Her earrings are standard flower shapes: Draw a circle surrounded by curved lines that represent flower petals. Draw the earrings below Princess Daisy's ears and make sure to draw the left one smaller because of perspective.
Step 16: Draw in Princess Daisy's neck using a few curved lines under her head. At this point, draw her eyebrows too. Draw them as thick, curved lines above her eyes that hide behind her bangs.
Step 17: Right on top of Princess Daisy's shoulders, draw two half circles. These are the puffy sleeves of her dress.
Step 18: Draw the collar of Princess Daisy's dress below her neck. Draw long, curved lines to resemble the petals of a daisy.
Step 19: Tighten the shape of Princess Daisy's crown. Draw a few curves or half ovals on the sides of the crown to represent jewels. Also draw an oval in the center of her crown to make the center jewel. Draw four curved lines around Princess Daisy's center jewel to represent petals on a daisy.
Step 20: That's it! You now have a nice sketch of Princess Daisy from Nintendo's Mario Brothers video games. You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough, sketchy look or go for a more finished look by continuing to the step below.
Step 21: For a more finished, inked look, carefully draw over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry, and then get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser. You now have a finished inked drawing of Princess Daisy! You can stop here or go to the final step to complete your Daisy drawing.
Final Step: For a completely finished Princess Daisy drawing, you have to color it. You can use markers, color pencils or even crayons! Color Princess Daisy's hair and eyebrows brown. Her crown is orange, the jewels on the side are red, and the main jewel, along with the jewel in her earrings, are green. Princess Daisy's eyes are blue, her lips are pink and her dress is yellow. Her skin color is peach (like the other Nintendo princess!). If you don't have peach, improvise and use yellow-orange or pink. Experiment! That's it! You now have a completed drawing of Princess Daisy from Nintendo's Mario Brothers video games.
