Step 6: That’s it for the initial sketch! You have the basic shape of Amy Rose from Sonic the Hedgehog. Now go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.
Step 7: Darken the shape of Amy Rose's ear and make it a bit more curved. Within the shape of the ear, draw a smaller triangle. Make the sides of this small triangle bulge out a bit.
Step 8: On the top right side of the head, draw three long pointy shapes for the front part of Amy Rose's hair. The top shape starts very close to where the vertical construction line meets the top edge of the circle. The rest of the shapes should be placed below, following the basic path of the vertical construction line. The tip of the top shape points up and to the right, while the bottom shape points down and to the right.
Step 9: Use the curved line across the main circle as a guide to draw the outside of Amy Rose's eyes. Follow the path of the guide and make the line thicker. As with many other Sonic the Hedgehog characters, the eyes aren't separated in the middle and instead consist of one big opening in the head. Draw a couple of long, curved lines on either side of Amy Rose's eyes for the eyelashes.
Step 10: Inside the two arcs that make up the eyes, draw an oval for the irises. Use the construction lines as guides for placement. Inside each iris, draw a smaller oval that represents glare. In the middle of the iris, behind the glare, draw and shade in another oval that represents the pupil.
