Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

Step 1: Draw an oval near the top of the paper as a guide for the mummy's head. First make four small marks to indicate its height and width. Then connect the marks using curved lines. The farther apart the initial marks are, the bigger the head will be.

Step 2: Inside the head, near the middle, draw a curved, horizontal line for the bottom edge of the first bandage. Closer to the top of the head, draw another curved line for the top edge of the bandage. Under the first line, draw two small half-circles for the mummy's angry eyes peeking through the bandages.

Step 3: Near the bottom of the head, draw two more lines for another bandage. Curve the lines downward so that they form a sort of frowning mouth for the mummy.

Step 4: Draw a few more curved lines inside the mummy's head to complete the wrapped bandages. Add a couple of short lines inside the bandages for extra detail on the folds. Draw the lines in the middle pretty close to the eyes so that the eyes barely peek through the bandages.

Step 5: On the lower, right side of the head, draw a sloping, oval- like shape with a flat bottom for the mummy's upper arm.

Step 6: At the end of the arm, draw four horizontal lines for the forearm. These lines represent the bones of the mummy's forearm that have come unwrapped.

Step 7: At the end of the forearm, draw a small oval for the mummy's hand. Under the hand, on the left side, draw three curved, sausage-like shapes for the fingers.

Step 8: Starting on the right side of the head, draw a long, curved line for the mummy's hunched back. Add another long, curved line under the head for the front part of the torso. Don't overlap the lines for the arm.

Step 9: Under the mummy's body, draw an oval- like shape with a flat bottom for the top part of the leg. This shape should be similar to the arm at the top, only bigger.

Step 10: At the bottom, draw two sloping, vertical lines for the lower half of the mummy's leg. The shape should be wide at the top and thinner at the bottom. Close off the shape with a small line at the bottom.

Step 11: At the tip, draw a curved line for the top part of the mummy's foot stepping forward. At the bottom, draw another curved line for the bottom edge of the foot. Inside the shape of the foot, draw a wavy line to separate the sole.

Step 12: Under the head, draw a rectangular shape for the mummy's other arm. On the left side, draw a couple of sloping lines for the forearm.

Step 13: At the end of the forearm, draw a tiny oval for the thumb. Now draw a curved line around the thumb for the hand. Under the hand, draw three curved, sausage-like shapes for the mummy's fingers.

Step 15: At the bottom, draw the foot using a few short lines. The mummy is stepping forward, so the tip of the foot should be bent.

Step 16: Add a series of curved lines to the first arm for wrapped bandages. Add lines to the hands and fingers too but make these lines shorter. Below the forearm, draw two curved lines for the loose bandage that's coming off.

Step 17: Add more lines to the mummy's other arm for more bandages. Space out the lines. Don't add too many bandages because they'll start to look cluttered. Draw the lines on the hand shorter and only add a couple to each finger.

Step 18: Draw lines on the mummy's torso for more bandages. Don't overlap the shape of the arm or leg as you draw these lines. On the right side, draw a loose bandage using a couple of curved lines. Sketch lightly at first to get the shape right. You can also skip this bit if you don't want your mummy to have loose bandages.

Step 19: Add more lines to the foot stepping forward for more mummy bandages. Remember to space the lines out so that there aren't too many of them. You can also draw a few of the lines with a diagonal orientation so that they're not all so uniform.

Step 20: Add the final lines to the mummy's leg to finish up with the bandages. Adding all the bandages can be repetitive, so be patient and take your time.

Step 21: Using a pen or marker, carefully go over the lines to make your mummy drawing permanent. After inking, get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser.

Final Step: Color your mummy drawing using color pencils, markers or crayons! Use yellow for the eyes. Use black for the area around the eyes and blue- green for the bit of rotting flesh peeking through the bandages. Use light brown or yellow for the rest of the mummy's bandages.
