Step 6: Go around the circle again and add more flower petals between the first petals. Most of the time only the top parts of these petals will be visible. Just draw the tips peeking from behind. If some petals are too close together, you can skip that gap and not draw another petal there. Remember that you can turn your paper as you draw the petals if you find that easier. It's okay if your sunflower's petals aren't all exactly the same size. They don't have to be perfect.
Step 7: Draw two long lines directly under the sunflower head for the stem. The farther apart you draw these lines, the thicker the stem will be.
Step 8: On the right side of the sunflower's stem, draw a curved, horizontal line for the first part of a leaf. If you'd like, you can add a second line parallel to the first to make this stem thicker.
Step 9: On the bottom side of the stem, draw a curved line for the bottom side of the sunflower's leaf. Add a curved line at the top to finish the leaf. The two curved lines should come to a point on the right.
Step 10: Draw a leaf on the left side the same way. Start with a curved line for the stem.
