Start with Simple Lines and Shapes
Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching so that it's easy to erase if you make a mistake.

Step 1: Sketch a small circle at the top of the page as a guide for Judy Hopps' head. First make four marks for the height and width of the circle, then connect the marks using curved lines. Sketch lightly at first so that if you don't get the shape right, it'll be easier to erase. Don't worry if the circle isn't perfect. It's just a guide. If you would still like a perfect circle, you can just trace the edge of a coin or anything circular.

Step 2: Pencil in two curved intersecting lines inside the head, one horizontal and one vertical. These construction lines will help you place Judy's facial features later.

Step 3: Sketch two thin, long arcs on top of the head as guides for Judy Hopps' ears. The height of these arcs should be about the same size as the length of the circle. The arcs should be close to each other, and their shape should be similar to an upside- down letter U. Place the arcs slightly on the right side of the head, not directly in the middle.
Keep Building the Drawing Slowly

Step 4: Make a thin, long triangle under the head as a guide for the top part of Judy Hopps' body. Start with a short horizontal line at the top, then add two long diagonal lines underneath. Pay attention to the length of the triangle in relation to Judy's head.

Step 5: Now sketch the guide for the bottom part of Judy's body as a series of lines under the long triangle. This shape should also be similar to a triangle but with the top part hidden.
