Intro: Start drawing the Blue Angry Bird with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.
Step 1: To draw the Blue Angry Bird, start by sketching a circle. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it will only be used as a guide for the Blue Angry Bird's head/body.
Step 2: Next, draw two intersecting lines across the circle, one vertical and one horizontal. When drawing the lines, bend them a bit so that they follow the contour of the circle. These will be construction lines that will help you place the Blue Angry Bird's features later on.
Step 3: Right where the construction lines intersect, draw a diamond shape similar to a kite. It should extend outside the main circle a bit on the right side. This is a guide for the Blue Angry Bird’s beak.
Step 4: Draw two big half circles as a guide for the Blue Angry Bird’s eyes. Draw these half circles so they sit on top of the Blue Angry Bird's beak and on either side of the vertical construction line.
Step 5: That's it for the initial sketch of the Blue Angry Bird! You have the basic Blue Angry Bird shape, so now go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.
Step 6: Using the initial diamond guide, tighten the shape of the Blue Angry Bird's beak. Darken it and draw the top half slightly bigger than the bottom half.
Step 7: Darken in the shapes of the Blue Angry Bird's eyes and draw curved horizontal lines that bisect the circles to create lower eyelids. Draw in a big dot inside of each eye for the Blue Angry Bird's pupils.
Step 8: Tighten the shape of the Blue Angry Bird's body by darkening it. At the top of the head, draw two overlapping curves to create the feathers on the Blue Angry Bird's head.
Step 9: On the left side of the Blue Angry Bird's body and where the horizontal construction line begins, draw two rectangle shapes, which will be the Blue Angry Bird’s tail feathers.
Step 10: That’s it! You now have a nice sketch of the Blue Angry Bird. You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough, sketchy look or go for a more finished look by continuing to the step below.
Step 11: For a more finished, inked look, carefully go over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry, and then get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser. You now have a finished inked drawing of the Blue Angry Bird! You can stop here or go to the final step to complete your Blue Angry Bird drawing.
Final Step: For a completely finished Blue Angry Bird drawing, you have to color it. You can use markers, color pencils or even crayons! Color the tail feathers black and the Blue Angry Bird's beak yellow. Color the Blue Angry Bird's face/body light blue and the lower eyelids red. That’s it! You now have a completed drawing of a Blue Angry Bird.
